Barcelona 12 May 2011 Dr Rafael Rosell has been invited to serve as Scientific Committee Member on the 2012 American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting Program Committee

Members of this committee, comprised of leading oncologists and researchers from around the world, select topics, speakers and chairpersons for major scientific sessions in the areas of Clinical Trials and Solid Tumors Research for the annual meeting. Dr Rosell’s suggestions include cutting-edge topics such as new predictors of sensitivity to targeted cancer drugs, and genetic alterations in lung, liver and breast cancers.

Dr Rafael Rosell is Head of Medical Oncology at the Oncology Institute Dr. Rosell, USP Dexeus University Institute; Head of Medical Oncology at the Catalan Institute of Oncology, Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol; Chairman and Founder of Pangaea Biotech S.L; President and Founder of the Spanish Lung Cancer Group.

The AACR Annual Meeting is attended by leading international oncology researchers from a range of cancer fields and the 103rd Annual Meeting will be held from 31 March – 4 April 2012 in Chicago.
