What is cancer?

Cancer is a set of diseases which occur when the cells in our body are damaged and begin to grow in an uncontrolled manner. There are different kinds of cancer according to the place where this uncontrolled growth originates (lung cancer, breast cancer, colon cancer, etc.). Each of these diseases has a different prognosis and treatment.
